Ed Schrader’s Music Beat Releases ‘Seagull’ Music Video

March 4, 2020 11:58 am

Ed Schrader’s Music Beat just released the official music video for ‘Seagull’; from their 2018 album, Riddles. The directors of the video, Clare Richardson and David Terry Fine, describe the mood as “David Lynch and Dan Flavin having a conversation set to your favorite Frank Sinatra song”. You can’t help but be mesmerized as you’re sucked into the swanky, dystopian wormhole that serves as Ed Shrader’s Music Beat’s stage.

Check out the music video HERE

Ed Schrader’s Music Beat will be joining Dan Deacon in the U.S & Canada for his upcoming Mystic Familiar tour. While on the road, they will be working on a new album, produced and co-written by Dan Deacon.

“I’m unbelievable excited to announce that Ed Schrader’s Music Beat will be joining me on the road for my North American Mystic Familiar Tour! Despite being one of my favorite bands ever, long time collaborators, and some of my best friends, this will be our first ever time touring together. I’m ecstatic to share the stage with them. Their live show is one of my absolute favorites ever. While on the tour, we will be working on our second album together with me as their producer and co-writer. We will also be playing a great deal of Settlers Of Catan.” – Dan Deacon

Ed Schrader shares third single “Seagull

February 20, 2018 12:58 pm

Ed Schrader’s Music Beat shared another taste from their forthcoming album, Riddles. With “Seagull,” the duo reflects the desire for forward momentum in all its forms. Check it out via Consequence of Sound.

Ed on the video: “‘Seagull’ is about a person who fears all the trappings of complacency, and to whom the term ‘settling down’ is like kryptonite. It is about that irrepressible road warrior in all of us that needs to feel the flame and skinned knees of adventure! The young, idealistic artist who prizes content over currency! Within the song though we see the cost of that freedom: ‘Leaving is such a mess/ But I’m tired of just hanging round.’”

Just over two weeks until the Music Beat tours around the country. Tickets here.
