Saint Pepsi announces 7″

July 8, 2014 1:57 pm

For his Carpark debut, Saint Pepsi takes a step away from the more genre-shuffling styles of his Internet releases to focus his skills on high-power pop. The title track of the “Fiona Coyne” 7-inch (out August 12th) is an uplifting tribute to fantastical romance and the joyous dreams pop culture can provide. Listen to the single via The Fader!

Pre-order is available in digital or physical format from our Carpark webshop.  Pre-order is also available from Insound or your favorite retailer.  iTunes pre-order available next week – July 15th.

saint pepsi signs to carpark, announces tour, remixes TEEN

June 3, 2014 12:16 pm

We’re excited to welcome Saint Pepsi to Carpark Records. Saint Pepsi started in December 2012 as an Ableton exercise, but is now 21-year-old Ryan DeRobertis’ main outlet for songwriting and production. Saint Pepsi got its start with four mixtapes of new wave and synth-pop samples. As DeRobertis developed his sampling technique, he branched out into disco and funk music. The netlabel Keats Collective released the Hit Vibes album in May 2013. Around the same time, Saint Pepsi received even more attention for his “Call Me Maybe” remix, a captivating re-working of the Carly Rae Jepsen hit.

Fresh off a tour with Jessy Lanza, Saint Pepsi returns to the road for a string of dates with Painted Palms later this month. Before that tour he will be appearing at our Northside Showcase in Brooklyn on June 12th.

6/12 Brooklyn, NY @ Cameo Gallery (Northside Festival)
6/17 Washington, DC @ Black Cat Backroom
6/18 Philadelphia, PA @ Boot & Saddle
6/19 New York, NY @ Glasslands

6/24 Detroit, MI @ Magic Stick Lounge
