“modern act” music video

November 9, 2016 11:20 am

Watch Cloud Nothings jam out on a sandy beach in the afterlife in their new music video for “Modern Act.” You can check it out via The AV Club: “The video sees the band covered in makeup, taking on elderly versions that are followed around menacingly by a makeshift grim reaper. After the hoodie-wearing angel of death picks them off one-by-one, the band is reunited in the afterlife, jamming out on a sandy beach in the afterlife. Check out the video below, and see the band live, presumably without bloodthirsty specter chasing them, in the following cities.”

“Modern Act” is taken from Cloud Nothings’ forthcoming record Life Without Sound, out January 27th, 2017. You can pre-order a copy on the Carpark shop or iTunes.

The band is heading out on a world tour at the beginning go next year. Tickets are on sale now.

Cloud Nothings announces “Life Without Sound” + shares first single

October 12, 2016 10:30 am

We are beyond excited to announce that Cloud Nothings is back with the follow up to 2014’s Here And Nowhere Else. The new full-length, Life Without Sound, will arrive January 27th, 2017. Stream the first single from the album, “Modern Act,” via Pitchfork.

“Generally, it seems like my work has been about finding my place in the world,” Baldi says. “But there was a point in which I realized that you can be missing something important in your life, a part you didn’t realize you were missing until it’s there—hence the title. This record is like my version of new age music,” he adds. “It’s supposed to be inspiring.”
It is.

Pre-orders are available everywhere. Order now and receive the first
single “Modern Act” instantly.

Deluxe LPs will be pressed on limited edition green marble-colored
vinyl and include one of three special edition posters. Deluxe LPs are available via Carpark Records (US) and Wichita Recordings (UK) and on release date at your favorite local independent record store.

Snag a limited edition t-shirt when you order an exclusive bundle from
